Are you wondering why it’s important to create a new local user on your device?
A local account is a simple combination of a username and a password that you use to access your Windows 10 device. It’s optional to have a password while you create a new local user, yet we suggest adding one. It will prevent anyone else to get access to your account.
There are many reasons why you may choose to create a local account:
Some people prefer a more “locked-down” experience that gives them more control over their data. Local accounts do not include online functions such as syncing between multiple Windows 10 devices.
You can access your device as an administrator and enjoy a more simplified experience for everyday use.
